Show her how she has enriched your very being -how you became a better person because of her.
TELL HER SOMETHING YOU LEARNED FROM HER.
Show her that you notice who she is and what she brings to your life and to the world - her dedication to your family, her passion for her work, the way she always can help you out of a bad mood.
Do it because you love and care about your wife. Not for reciprocation or out of guilt or obligation. Just because you want to make a tiny part of her life easier or better.
Create a list of things that you would like to do when you can go out. Be sure there are all kind of options on your list: Free activities or destinations; special evening type places; quick date spots; day trips.
Never forget your anniversary, her birthday or other important dates. Spend a few minutes entering these into your calendar. (TIP: Set to be reminded a week before)
Surprise your wife with something unexpected. Out of nowhere. Make sure the surprise is about her and not about you.
It’s the ‘together’ part that is important. Offer your help. Not to take it over, but to do it together. And then comment on how nice it was to be together.
Deliberately call to mind the highlights of your life together. Talk about special moments, revisit special places, watch home videos, look at old pictures or listen to special songs.
Share something you enjoy about at least one of her family members. An attribute, a skill, an achievement.
